This past weekend, I got an opportunity to go out and snap some shots of the Holt / Young family while all their family was together. These kiddos are too cute and for the most part, didn’t mind hamming it up for the camera.
We couldn’t have scheduled these family pictures on a better day as it was 73-degrees in Tulsa the day we took pictures and it was 32-degrees the next day. Anyways, here are my favorites from the afternoon session:

I love the picture on the right . . . truth be told, he was running away from me and the camera:

The B&W on the left may have to go into my portrait favorites . . .

And here is Grandma getting some kisses from her oldest Grandsons . . .

I hope that you are all having a great start to the new year. Since one of the things I’m trying to do in 2009 is blog more pictures for family and friends to see, I thought I’d start today.
Last week we got a chance to spend time with my family in Colorado; here are some shots of time in Denver:

Here’s Grandma holding her grand-baby . . .

And here’s Uncle Tanner taking an afternoon nap with Ronan . . .

And for the first time, Witten got to go out and enjoy a little play time in the snow . . .

Two of Witten’s favorite things combined into one . . . Sponge-Bob and brushing his teeth . . .

And I couldn’t help but post these pictures of Witten struting around in Aunt Jaden and Aunt Siale’s hat . . .

I guess he was mad that I was taking his picture . . . I’d probably be mad too . . .

Aunt Siale was so sweet with Ronan . . . she probably held him for over an hour while he was asleep . . . she just kept walking around the house . . .

And one last picture of our little guy . . .

Wow! I can’t believe that 2008 is already over. It has been a great year, filled with tons of memories and it just makes me that much more thankful. Thankful for all of my wonderful family and friends, plus all of my awesome clients that have put their trust in me over the last year to document their love, families, sporting events, and so much more.
I’m especially grateful for my wonderful wife who has been so supportive throughout all of my shoots, projects, and everything in between. She’s a huge reason why our family is as happy as we are and as close. Tara, I love you for all that you do, day in and day out to support and care for me, Witten, and Ronan . . . you’re an awesome mother, friend, and wife.
I hope that you all have a very safe and Happy New Year! Tomorrow I’ll play a little catch up and post some photo shoots that haven’t been blogged.
Here’s a photo from our week in Colorado this last week . . . Witten was trying so hard to comfort Ronan, but little brother wasn’t feeling the love . . .

Can you provide more information on this for the rest of us far-away (Europe) NFL fans?

Sean and Alice are two of the most kind-hearted people you’ll meet. It has been great getting to know Sean and Alice through shooting their engagement session and through some interaction with mutual friends. These two are very devoted to God and are super awesome people to be around.
Sean and Alice got married last weekend on December 14th in Guthrie at Living Water Church, with their reception at the Sand Plum.
Here are some of my favorites:

The wind started picking up pretty good in the time that we were in the hair salon, so the plastic bags had to be brought in . . .

High-fives are simply one of the greatest things ever . . . if you’re around me long enough you’ll see that I overly use the high-five, so when the flower girls got in the act, I had to snap a few pics . . .

I love these two pictures . . . the B&W is one of my favorites of the day

I’m not sure what Sean was doing or saying here, but you gotta love an excited groom . . .

It started getting a little windy and there’s a longer story as to why Sean is cracking up in the picture.

Sean is a chemist, so the groom’s cake / cupcakes where an awesome touch by the people at the Sand Plum Sean’s Aunt Vikki and cousins . . .

This little guy was just too cute:

I love the emotion in this picture with Alice, her Grandpa, and her sister . . .

And here’s another cutie getting down on the dance floor

(December 22nd, 2008)Toni & Dan Turner:
The pictures are beautiful. The best thing that ever happens to us as teachers is to see our students find happiness in their lives. Thanks to Alice for giving us that joy. What a great looking couple!

What a beautiful couple you are, with such light in your faces. Alice, I am blessed to have met you, and look forward to following your life as it progresses. You work it, Sister!
(January 12th, 2009)I have several family sessions that need some blog love, but first I have some of my favorites from my day after Thanksgiving with the Ragsdale and Speed family.
This family had a lot to celebrate for Thanksgiving as it was 50 years ago that the family started when Grandma & Grandpa begin their story together.
We were lucky enough to get some of the awesome light and awesome weather . . . anyways, here are my favorites from the afternoon:

When we got done taking the first round of pictures outside, I got to experience the musical talent of this awesome family . . . all of the Grandkids got in on the act and I was blown away . . .

We took a little bit of time to get some senior pictures as well . . .

Nothing better than a human pyramid . . .

Happy 50th Anniversary!!!

And then it was game time . . .
